Writing has always been more than just putting words on a page for me. It’s about sharing the hard-won lessons, the late-night realisations, and the practical tools that have helped me: and the people I coach: move from a state of “stuck” to a life of purpose. Over the years, my journey in coaching and professional development has led me to write three very different books, each born from a specific need I saw in the world around me.
Whether you’re trying to break through personal procrastination, navigate a challenging season in your marriage, or take your fitness business to the next level, I’ve put everything I know into these pages. I wanted to create more than just books; I wanted to create toolkits for real-world change.
Here is the story behind my collection and how they can help you find your own version of success.
1. Get On With It: The Toolkit for Action
I wrote Get On With It because I know exactly what it feels like to stay in your comfort zone: not because it feels good, but because it feels safe. I’ve been there. I know the drain of living behind a mask of doubt when what you really crave is direction and the courage to act.
This book was truly forged in the fire of the pandemic. When my face-to-face training business was swept away overnight, I had a choice: freeze or move forward. I chose to grow, not just for me, but for my family. This book is the result of that growth. It’s packed with the methods and mindset shifts that helped me shake off those horrible phases of avoidance and step into action.
Who is it for?
If you’ve ever felt like you’re “flirting” with the idea of change but never quite making it official, this is for you. It’s for the dreamers who are tired of dreaming and ready to start doing. It’s for anyone who feels stuck, uncertain, or unsure of their next step.
What’s inside?
I designed this book to be a map, a mirror, and a blank page all in one. It’s not a passive read; it’s a living document. Some of the core themes include:
- The Starting Line: How to get honest and clear about where you are right now.
- Finding Your Why: Reconnecting with the deep-seated motivations that drive lasting change.
- Trying and Learning: Why I believe that taking imperfect action beats procrastination every single time.
- The ‘What If’ Section: Specific exercises designed to help you navigate whatever emotional state you find yourself in today.
I often say that progress equals happiness. In my experience, it’s always better to keep moving and get on with things so you can learn from the day. If you’re ready to stop waiting for the “perfect moment,” this book will help you create it.
2. When Love Meets Menopause: A Husband’s Guide

This is perhaps the most personal book I’ve ever written. It’s a companion guide for men navigating the journey of menopause in partnership with their wives. I wrote it because I saw a massive gap in the conversation. While there is (rightly) a lot of focus on the physical and emotional experience for women, the partners are often left feeling helpless, confused, or even defensive.
Why I wrote it
I wanted to provide a guide that emphasizes empathy, patience, and connection. Menopause isn’t just a “hormonal phase”; it’s a significant life transition that can deeply affect the foundation of a relationship. I wanted to help men understand that they don’t need to “fix” it: they need to be in it with their partners.
How it helps
The guide is built on the same principles I use in my Motivational Mapping work: understanding what drives us and how we communicate. Inside, you’ll find:
- Communication Strategies: How to talk about the difficult stuff without it turning into a conflict.
- Reflective Prompts: Tools to help you check in with your own emotions and stay grounded.
- Emotional Insights: Helping you understand the “why” behind the changes your partner is experiencing so you can respond with love rather than frustration.
This book is about staying connected when things get tough. It’s about building a relationship that doesn’t just survive menopause but grows stronger because of how you navigated it together.
3. Get On With It for Personal Trainers

The fitness industry is incredibly rewarding, but it’s also tough. I’ve worked with many personal trainers who are brilliant at the “sets and reps” but struggle with the business side or the psychological side of coaching their clients. That’s why I adapted the principles of my first book specifically for this world.
Taking coaching beyond the gym
A great personal trainer isn’t just a fitness expert; they are a motivator, a psychologist, and a business owner. Get On With It for Personal Trainers focuses on the “human” side of the industry. It’s about building the mental resilience you need to sustain a long-term career and the tools you need to help your clients achieve real-world behavioral changes.
Key areas of focus:
- Behavior Change: Understanding the psychology of why clients stop showing up and how to keep them engaged.
- Mindset and Confidence: Building your own confidence as a coach so you can lead with authority and empathy.
- Practical Business Action: Moving past the “I should do this” phase of your business and actually implementing the strategies that drive growth.
This book is about finding meaning in your career and ensuring that your ambition meets your expertise. It’s a call to action for every trainer who wants to be more than just a person in a tracksuit: it’s for those who want to be true leaders in personal growth.
Why I do what I do
Each of these books represents a pillar of my business, Your Success. Whether I am delivering short courses on mental resilience or conducting one-on-one coaching sessions, my goal is always the same: to help you reach your full potential.
I believe that growth isn’t linear: it’s seasonal. Sometimes we need a push (Get On With It), sometimes we need a partner (When Love Meets Menopause), and sometimes we need a professional edge (Personal Trainers guide). My work is about integrating practical exercises into actionable tips that you can use immediately.
I don’t just want you to read these books; I want you to live them. I want you to set those 30-day goals, implement those behavioral changes, and start seeing the measurable results that come from taking responsibility for your thoughts and your energy.
Ready to start your journey?
If any of these books resonate with you, or if you’re looking for a partner to help you or your team navigate change, I’d love to hear from you. My books are available on Amazon to help you take that first step, but the real magic happens when we start a conversation.
Whether you’re an individual seeking personal growth or a manager looking to improve your team’s wellbeing and motivation, I am here to provide the steady guidance you need.
